No Kings. No Rulers. Just We the People.
Join Us for the No Kings March — Saturday, October 18th, 1–3 PM ET in East Greenwich & the Rhode Island State House
Democracy isn’t a spectator sport, it’s something we build together. On Saturday, October 18th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM ET, West Bay Blue Wave is joining neighbors, families, and community advocates from across Rhode Island for the No Kings March Two.
This peaceful, people-powered protest is our chance to stand united against concentrated power and remind our leaders that real change begins with us — the people.
What We’re Marching For
The No Kings March isn’t about partisanship or politics. It’s about the principles upon which this country was built: democracy, equality, and accountability.
We’re marching because:
-
No one person or institution should stand above the people.
-
Every Rhode Islander deserves a voice in shaping our shared future.
-
Local power matters — from the West Bay to the State House, decisions that impact our communities should reflect the will and well-being of all.
-
Hope is only real when it’s active. Rhode Island’s state motto reminds us that belief in a better world means stepping forward to build it together.
This march is a celebration of that spirit — our collective reminder that democracy only works when we do.

Why “No Kings”?
The phrase “No Kings” reaches back to the very foundation of our democracy: a rejection of hierarchy and the idea that power belongs to a select few. In 2024, it’s a reminder that our democracy depends on active participation, accountability, and shared leadership.
In the West Bay, that means organizing from the ground up ensuring every person has the chance to be heard, represented, and valued. The No Kings March is about returning power to where it belongs: with the people who live, work, and love here.

A Message from West Bay Blue Wave
We protest not to divide, but to unite. The No Kings March is an act of collective hope; a reminder that leadership comes from the ground up, not the top down.
We believe in democracy that listens, includes, and grows stronger through participation. On October 18th, we’ll show what that looks like: people-powered, hopeful, and unstoppable.
Join us on the steps of the Rhode Island State House.
