| View in browser Hi, fellow patriot!   The West Bay Blue Wave (WBBW) is a grassroots, all-volunteer army (a peaceful one, of course) of pro-democracy action-takers based in the West Bay towns of Rhode Island.   We'd love to have you join us (plenty of opportunities in this newsletter) AND share this email with like-minded friends and neighbors. They can sign up to get the weekly newsletter on our website.    Scroll further to see opportunities like: Meet with US Senator Jack Reed Meet with US Rep. Seth Magaziner Find out where you can (and should) VOTE EARLY Help out some great local candidates Get FREE Vote Early yard signs and voting handouts And of course, join our (not-yet) World Famous Weekly Bridge Brigade... But first - here at WBBW we are working hard to make sure that voters are awake, aware and ready to VOTE EARLY!   In fact, the COOLEST thing to do is VOTE ON DAY ONE, which is Wednesday, October 14 this year. Find your EARLY VOTE locations by community HERE.   Want 6 great reasons to VOTE EARLY this cycle? Feast your eyes and share this on social media: OK, let's dive into the Blue Wave:   THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7!   U.S. Senator Jack Reed will join WBBW for an update and Q&A on Wednesday, October 7 at 6PM at the Westminster Unitarian Church in East Greenwich, RI Click this Button to RSVP for Townhall with US Senator Jack Reed, Wed. October 7 at 6PM That's not all! US Representative (D-2) Seth Magaziner will join WBBW for a town hall event on Wednesday, October 14 at 6PM, at the Westminster Unitarian Church in East Greenwich, RI.   Rep. Magaziner is running against a MAGA & January 6 insurrectionist (Vic Mellor) so please come out in support of Seth as he fights for Rhode Island. CLICK HERE to RSVP for Town Hall with US Rep. Seth Magaziner, Wednesday, October 14 at 6PM Rhode Island has MANY competitive General Assembly races this year too!   Holding and flipping seats in the Assembly will help us enact fairer, more progressive laws to help Rhode Islanders.  Here are some that YOU can help directly:   Samantha Wilcox (Senate District 34) is running to FLIP this seat (incumbent Elaine Morgan, bleh). It's a huge district so Sam needs all the help she can get! Contact (401) 646-4304 or samwilcoxri@gmail.com to help!   Dr. Nelly Burdette (Senate District 17)  is running to FLIP this seat (incumbent Thomas Paolino, also bleh). It's an uphill climb and Nelly needs financial support and boots on the ground! Go to Nelly's website to contribute or email william@electnelly.com to help out.    Zak Pereira (House District 22) is running to fill an open seat left by Joe Solomon, Jr. (a DINO for sure). His race in Warwick is very competitive as the GOP would love to flip it their way. Zak needs help with canvassing and phonebanking. Click here to sign up to canvass or email zakaryforri@gmail.com. Another great way to help create the Blue Wave of your dreams this year:   Postcards to Voters is a national, grassroots, volunteer-powered effort to energize potential voters with friendly, handwritten postcards for specific candidates up and down the ballot in all 50 states. it's fun, educational, and more powerful than you might think!   There are many active campaigns you can write for, and they change daily. Current campaigns include: Roy Cooper and Judge Anita Earls in NC Denise Powell in NE Nancy Lacore in SC Amish Shah in AZ Sherrod Brown and Amy Action in OH Blake Gendebien in NY So click on the picture below, sign up and become a PTV regular today.
