A big THANK YOU to all of our members and fellow resisters who helped in many ways leading up to the Rhode Island Primary Elections!
L'il Rhody saw all-time record turnout for EARLY VOTING - almost 40,000 RIers voted before Election Day. Our 1,000+ handwritten postcards to West Bay registered Dems certainly helped. AND, Primary Election turnout in general was much much robust than expected at 150,000+.
THANKS to everyone who voted EARLY this cycle (and keep that thought as you are going to do it AGAIN in October for the General Election)!
Another exciting development - the Democrat-In-Name-Only (DINO) candidates who ran in many General Assembly primary races were all THUMPED by real Democrats, thanks in part to our grassroots efforts to inform, canvas, and spread the word of the shady tactics of the right-wing PACs that were created in our state this cycle.
Finally, a huge thanks to everyone who worked the polls, knocked on doors, handed out info and held election-day signs for true pro-democracy Democrats across the state. YOU are the true unsung heroes!
